Welcome to The Social List, my blog about social media and digital marketing. Social media includes Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Youtube, Instagram and Vine.

I am a huge user of social media and have constantly got a smartphone in my hand checking my latest Twitter feed or updating my status on Facebook. My love for social media started quite a few years back with my first MySpace account (remember those?). I first discovered it in high school and spent many hours crafting my profile page whilst networking with other people.

I then moved onto Facebook when MySpace started to fade out, which is a shame really because I quite enjoyed it. Nowadays MySpace is targeted towards music lovers and has become a place to check out new artists.

Then came the microblogging websites such as Twitter. I was quite an early adopter to this years before it got popular in celebrity circles but it still remains as my go-to site to this day.

Instagram and Vine are two networks which I should really use more but I don’t as I prefer more text based updates rather than multimedia. This doesn’t mean the blog won’t post about it though, as I have clients I work with using these networks.

This blog is focused on helping you improve your knowledge on social media and making a presence online, whether it is for yourself or your business.

I will keep the posts interesting by using a variety of content types. These include list posts, case studies, reviews and tutorials. I will also delve into my client’s industries and demonstrate how different companies use social media for their business.
